I was going through the motions, but I was a hot mess. I couldn’t write, I could barely tie my shoes, but was trying to get through the day, every day.
TMW… You Might Have Cancer. Again.

Re: my Fame and Reputation area. I took the much-memed image of a beautiful woman, dressed sexily, legs spread, and banging out words on a typewriter, because isn’t that what I look like, when I write?
Noted in passing: one of my lovers made the snarky remark that Jean-Luc and Number Two were kinda inappropriate names, since they certainly weren’t going where no man had gone before!
When we consider that 60%+ of the entire publishing market is romance (basically, it’s the genre that pays the bills and keeps the lights on), and that there are dozens of indie bookstores specializing in mystery, sci-fi, and all those other genres, the question begs, how come romance didn’t have a place, off the Internet, to call home?
Good relationships (sexual and otherwise) are all about respecting the autonomy of the other person. The goal should always be not to satisfy yourself, while the other person feels used, betrayed, or hurt (Win-Lose). The goal should be finding a way to satisfy your own needs while the other person also feels satisfied (Win-Win), whether than is in selling a car for a fair price, or entering into a polyamorous relationship.
